We are South Vancouver Island's largest Minor Fastball club providing our youth athletes a positive and rewarding environment for Fastpitch competition, development and fun.
Our divisions range from Learn to Play (U6-U8) to U19 in levels from beginners to competitive B. Our goal is to support our youth with pride and lead with faith in their ability to grow as young adults through our great sport.
We are the home of Langford Lightning and we welcome you to become part of our great Association.
Baseball/Softball will be one block per semester, running daily throughout the year. Classes will rotate between indoor training, on field training, weight training, and classroom theory. Students receive their PE credit for the year as well as a credit for the baseball/softball skills portion of the class. The Academy will cost $550 for the year. For more information check the Belmont Secondary School website
Information contact, Kris Walushka:
We are currently set for Friday and Saturday February 5 and 6 from 5pm – 9pm for Learn to Coach and Saturday and Sunday February 6 and 7 from 8:30 – 5pm for Weekend #1. Clinics will be in Sooke. Information about cost is below.
Coaches, please bring a 2 inch ring binder to put materials in along with a pen. You will also want to bring your glove and should dress for activity. Coaches may want to bring lunches as our lunch break is typically ½ an hour.
Costs are expected to be $150 per person for Weekend #1 clinic and $25 per person for Learn to Coach clinic. However this is based on a minimum of 10 registrations, cost is subject to change.
A little further information on the coaching clinics being offered: they are open to any member that wants to become qualified to coach, whether currently coaching or not. It is recommended, though not required, that anyone coaching Learn to Play or U10 have their Learn to Coach certification. It is also recommended that U12C coaches have their Weekend 1 course. The Weekend 1 course is a requirement for at least one coach of each team at U12B and higher.
Course fees will be reimbursed by Langford Minor Fastball upon successful completion. Should you wish to attend, please advise Wendy Parker at (email@example.com) as soon as possible. Payment must be received by Wendy prior to course start.
These are very likely the only LTC and Weekend 1 courses that will be offered on the Island this season, so if you are thinking of getting qualified, take advantage of this opportunity!”
You must get your payment (cash or cheque) to Wendy Parker (firstname.lastname@example.org) before clinic dates!
